Happy Memorial Day!

It's Memorial Day in Keeneston. American Flags flap in the wind on every lamp post up and down Main Street.  Red, white and blue ribbons decorate the town in remembrance and celebration of all our troops, past and presence, have done for us as a country.

I would like to take this chance and say thank you to all the men and women who has served our country. To my readers, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

The Rose Sisters' Special Ice Tea Recipe

Spring time is here! The flowers are blooming on Main Street in Keeneston. The horses are romping in the pastures, and the Derby hats are flying off the shelf at Southern Charms. Picnics, family get-togethers, friends grilling out, and the Kentucky Derby all have one thing in common: they are perfect for the Rose Sister's Special Ice Tea!  So, break out your favorite bourbon (Woodford Reserve & Marker's Mark are two of Kentucky's favorites) and make the Rose Sister's Special Ice Tea for your party! Here is the recipe:

In a one gallon pitcher mix 2 cups of unsweetened ice tea.

Add 1 cup sugar and stir.

Mix in 1 12 oz. can frozen orange juice and 1 12 oz can frozen limeade.  Stir until blended.

Pour in 1 750 ml bottle of your choice of Kentucky Bourbon and 7 cups of water.

Mix well and refrigerate until time to serve.

Enjoy!

Bluegrass Undercover Coming Soon!

It’s an exciting time in Keeneston! The town is preparing a big release party for the first Bluegrass Brother’s novel at the end of this month. The Rose sisters have chicken salad sandwiches and their special ice tea all prepared and ready to go.  Pick out your favorite party hat at Southern Charms and get ready for Keeneston’s newest release, Bluegrass Undercover!

Cade Davies had too much on his plate to pay attention to newest resident of Keeneston. He was too busy avoiding the Davies Brothers marriage trap set by half the town.  But when a curvy redhead lands in Keeneston, the retired Army Ranger finds himself drawn to her.  These feelings are only fueled by her apparent indifference and lack of faith in his ability to defend himself.

DEA Agent Annie Blake was undercover to bust a drug ring that preyed on high school athletes. She had thought to keep her head down and listen to the local gossip to find the maker of this deadly drug. What Annie didn’t count on was becoming the local gossip. With marriage bets being placed at the Blossom Café and an entire town aiming to win the pot, Annie looks to Cade for help in bringing down the drug ring before another kid is killed.  But can she deal with the feelings that follow?

Wow, What a Month!

It’s been a little while since I posted, so let me first say “THANK YOU!” to all of my readers.  During February, I experimented with Bluegrass State of Mind as a free book. I was able to reach nearly 80,000 new readers during that month. And many of you went on to read Risky Shot and Dead Heat. I have been on the top ten of eBook charts for Romance on Apple, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble. I have even seen multiple books hit the #1 spot on those lists during February.

Basically, I feel like the luckiest writer in the world and I owe it all to you, the readers.

With more readers, I have gotten all kinds of feedback. Numerous fans have asked about future books set in Keeneston. You’ll be happy to hear that I am in the process of editing the first book in a new series now. The new book, Bluegrass Undercover, will be released in the end of March and features Paige’s brother, Cade Davies. Other fans have reached out to tell me what characters they relate to the most. I freely admit, these comments make my day every time they come in. You all are great!

At the same time, I have had a few comments about typos and proofreading mistakes. In the spirit of always seeking to improve, I have asked for outside help in the proofreading and editing process for all of my books. I currently have Bluegrass State of Mind being re-edited by a very knowledgeable woman with many years of experience in this area.  She will edit Bluegrass Undercover next to prevent delay in its release. Risky Shot and Dead Heat will follow closely behind.

I am very excited about the new Bluegrass Brothers series featuring the Davies brothers.  In anticipation of the release of my new series, I thought we could have a little fun. Bluegrass State of Mind is Currently Free!

I am currently able to offer Bluegrass State of Mind for free in all formats!  This promotion has been available on some outlets for a little over a week.  I have seen a tremendous response on Apple's iBooks and I am starting to see similar with Barnes & Noble.  Bluegrass State of Mind spent nearly all of last week as the #1 free download out of all Romance on iBooks.  AND Risky Shot and Dead Heat have both been in the Top 5 of all Romance on iBooks.  I am beside myself with joy that so many people are trying, and continuing to follow the Bluegrass Series.  Each one of you has absolutely made my day...  scratch that, you have made my year!  Thank you!  Thank you!
